Sold....Rick Mayer C-10 seat for sale
« on: July 04, 2015, 10:36:04 AM »
For sale: Rick Mayer touring seat, set up for a 6'2", 225 lb. rider and a 150 lb.  passenger.  Rick built it on my 2004 seat pan. Your butt deserves this seat.  My wife would never tour on the stock seat, but we went to on several trips together with this one. $200 plus shipping, OBO     road38@yahoo.com

Two questions:

Is the surface slippery, or 'grippy'?

Does it position your butt forward, back, or in the same place relative to the gas tank as the stock seat?

TIA

I really do not know how to judge sticky/slippery.  Since it is "tractor seat" shaped, you do not slide around.  The Forward/aft position is pretty close to stock.   The front sits a little taller than stock, which makes a little more room from the pegs to the seat.  I got a lot less "monkey butt" with this one.  Part of Ricks selling point is that he uses the kind of foam that they use to prevent bed sores in invalids in the nursing homes.
