Did you even resolve your problem? The OP's issue seems different since it occurs near redline.
True. I was pushing mine at a moderately hard acceleration when it happened but not quite redline. I haven't yet been able to replicate the problem to analyze it further. Perhaps I'll try it again on the ride home today.

It's only happened two (maybe three) times since I've had the bike.  I just switched to full synthetic last oil change.  It did it once or twice with the old oil and once with the new oil.  I don't think it's the oil.

He was just clearing his C14's lungs.  I don't abuse my bike, but it will hit 10,000 rpm a couple times a week.

That exactly!

Lighting up the rear tire "feels" like the clutch slipping as you "ease" into the rev limiter.
Just a guess...  :o

What oil?  If it is any of the extended mileage type you may have the slippage as described or if you have ever added any of the car oil additives.  I did have this happen-twice, the Hippo hands collapesed onto the clutch lever enough to cause slippage, also lit the brake light.  Needless to say, I have Bakers hand wings, still my fav farkle to date.  I also didnt see if you have any aftermarket style levers.  At 10k I wouldnt expect any wear related issues, less of course you always launch hard, as in strip type runs ;D  I'm at 49,000 miles, run 'bout as hard as most anyone and clutch is working great.
