Here we are again. I thought Id ride a lot more this year than last, but Ive managed a whopping 261 miles since last fall. Most of that was on one ride, so I guess its time for the Warthog to find a new home. Named as such because of its model number, ZG1000A10.

Paint is in excellent shape. VERY few dings/nicks. There are some very light scratches here and there, one pin head size chip on the side of the tank, and one small scuff? on the rear rack cover, and one small blemish in the paint on the front fender. The only ding I could find was on the tank, on the portion that curves down to the seat, about 1/4" or so, no paint missing or cracked, just a very small dent. My tank bag covered it up. All tabs intact, and no cracks or missing pieces. Doesn’t appear to have ever been down from what I can see. I will have it professionally polished before it goes away (nice to have good neighbors, lol), so some of the minor hazy scratches most likely will be gone.
Might be tooting my own horn here, but its really one of the nicest ones Ive seen. I get compliments on it on all the rides I attend (few so far, but still...lol).
The bags do have some scuffs on them. Nothing Id call major, but there are some.
Done before I got it:
Stainless front brake lines
New speedo cable
Newer Avons (front is excellent, rear is beginning to square off)
Bar risers
Hi-way pegs
Throttle Meister cruise
SIFSs 2 minute carb mod and jets
Sonic Springs 1.2
KB Fork Brace (never installed)
ZZR1200 shock
Thumb screws for side covers and all allen head screw kit
Includes all parts removed too (springs, fact. shock, etc) and whatever extras I might have lying around like the service manual etc.
What I did:
Adjusted valves
K&N air filter
New throttle cables (both)
Synced carbs
Changed oil (Mobil 1 TDT 5w40)
Changed final drive oil
Bled clutch and brakes
New windshield well nuts
Rifle base with GL1100 screen and GL1500 vent (very nice stock screen included)
Replaced incorrect color side covers with correct
Murphs grips
Brians Heat shields
Ceramic coated headers
New NGK Iridium plugs
Snarfs block off plates
T-Cro’s stick coils
Quick release tank kit
New gel battery last Fall
Had Steve go thru the carbs again, added overflow tubes (mine, not Steves)
New t-stat, new t-stat housing o-ring, new coolant log o-rings
Removed evap system (CA like bike)
New front and rear wheel bearings 2 months ago
Peg lowering adapters and GL pegs, not sure who made these.
Resistor mod to make fuel gauge more accurate
Runs excellent. Especially since I got the right coils, and Steve got my carbs sorted!
I think thats about it...but Im sure there is something Im missing...done a lot to it with the expectation of riding a lot this Summer, but life has intervened and not allowed me to ride it much at all for the second year in a row (only 261 miles so far this year). Time someone else who would actually put it to good use got a hold of it.
