2004 super farkled Connie Camper for sale
« on: December 14, 2012, 10:09:26 AM »
The meticulously modified, solo-rider dedicated Connie Camper is for sale – another project beckons.

The price is $6,000 or make me an offer, delivery to be negotiated (the bike is in central Texas, I may deliver to an area I’d like to visit).  Clear Texas title.  Yep, probably the most expensive ’01 in a long, long, time …. read on to see the list of mods that cannot be recreated for twice that price …

The base bike is my one-owner 2004 C10 in Pearl Black with only 28,xxx miles (will gain miles until sold).  8k miles as a commuter from new to late 2004; stored due to personal injury ‘till April 2011 when carbs were overhauled, all bearings cleaned and greased and select rubber components were replaced (carb boots, shaft boot, etc); 20k sport touring miles from April 2011 to now.  99% Chevron gas; always Rotella oil; always Honda Moly 60 paste on the splines.

This bike is significantly modified to make it an outstanding C10 for the SOLO rider that camps or for whatever reason needs a lot of capacity in weatherproof, lockable storage.  Along with the SISF 7th gear unit, the suspension, brake and fuel system mods give it the best handling and road manners available on a C10.  The Russell Day-Long seat, alternator upgrade, extra lighting and provisions for heated gear make it an all-weather, long distance joy to ride.

I met Alan and saw his bike in person in Arkansas last year. Nice guy and nice bike. The custom cases are really cool. I loved the tool drawer built in under the top case. This is for the guy that wants everything but does not have the time to do it. Obviously, you ran out of modifications to add, so whaddya gonna do next Alan??
