Title: MC enterprises rear tip over protection blocking rear footpegs
Post by: riverbound51 on May 12, 2011, 10:39:12 PM
I know this information was on the "lost" site.

I need footpeg extenders for the rear so that a passenger can use them.  Someone had just posted the info....  is Motorcycle Larry the place to go for these?  Is there a stock or part number I should be googling?  I don't want to do the trial and error on this as I am getting ready for a trip.

Thanks for any help.

MCL is one source.  This is another:

I have these and the MC Enterprise rear bars.  No interference with the bars.  I like the option of having 3 different peg mounting heights.  1 inch, 2 inches and 3 inches lower than stock.  Also the pegs are significantly longer (wider?) than stock, however we have found the 3 inch drop works best for my wife.  She made the observation that the new pegs are a lot better.  That's good enuf for me.

so Army with the rear pegs lowered ( already done) is there any leg contact or issue ?
My wife unit loves the pegs and I want the bars but if Mama ain't happy ... you know

So far, no complaints.   I don't have the time until Sunday to take pics, but I will post side and top-down views to show the offset between the bars and pegs.  The vixfix kit lowers and moves the peg forward, perhaps an inch forward from stock.  At first I was concerned about wife's foot hitting my calf, but that just isn't a problem.

We don't have a lot of two up saddle time (maybe 150 miles over two outings) yet, but so far-all is good.

Thanks.  I'll try the "vixfix" model.

Here's  pics of the vixfix pegs with the MC Enterprise rear bars.  As you will see, the stock bars would not be usable with the MC Enterprise bars.
