C, you haven't had this long have you? Have you towed the 14 on it? I sent this to my son who's in FL for the week. He was looking at one time.

Nope, I haven't had it for long. I bought it last year. I spruced it up a bit though. That reminds me, I just serviced the wheel bearings, I should list that.

I didn't get a chance to tow Connie on it, my plans changed.

I have been thinking about a trailer.  Anyone with any experience towing a bike with this unit?  Does it bounce around a lot?  Did you do any towing with it or is it basically brand new?

I don't have this particular trailer. I've got an Aluma with a 2000 lb. torsion axle and 13" tires like Conrad's and just got back from a 2000 mile round trip towing my C-10 on it. No bounce and towed well behind my '06 Dakota with a V-6.

I bought it used but never towed with it. It didn't bounce around much empty at least. I cleaned it up, did some maintenance , and had it stored in the garage. I also had an extra tie down bar made to get some tie downs down in front of the wheel.

I had intended to tow my bike behind my RV on the trailer but since I'm going to be towing in the winter months mostly I'm going to get an enclosed trailer instead. I don't want my bike turning into a salt block on the way down south.  :)

Have you loaded the Concours on it?  I'm trying to visualize how you would load it with that narrow ramp and heavy bike.

I would love to have a light trailer, but recently borrowed an enclosed 5x8 V-nose,  and the wide ramp sure does make loading a breeze.  Just ride it in.

I loaded Connie onto the trailer once, just to see how it would go. It wasn't bad with two people doing it. I'm only 5'5" so I wanted to make sure that I had someone to help, just in case... I've never towed the bike on the trailer though.

The guy I bought it from towed his HD to Sturgis a couple of times, so he said.

A couple of nibbles so far but no bites.

At some point in the near future I'll be listing it locally on Craig's list. I wanted to give my two wheeled forum brothers first crack at it though.

I've been watching this post.
I already have a trailer, but wanted to post.
This looks like an excellent trailer for someone.
 Easy to store.
Light enough (to give you good MPG when towing).
And, strong enough to easily handle a Connie.

Someone needs to buy it!

Ride safe, Ted

Gary is right, cornhole man! Also called Bags by some. I made those.   :)

A funny story about Cornhole (the game, not the..., easy boys!) and my dog Agnes. Agnes can't be left out in the yard while we're playing. She chases the bags, grabs 'em and won't give them up. She even chases the bags into the boards, right down inside the hole and comes flying out with a bag that she claims as her own.

Cannon and other printers use magenta as one of the base colors. I've been working with color plotters since 1982 that use magenta (kind of purpleish). I guess that's why I saw color when I saw "Magneta".

I think some of us are just kind of enjoying the stories as they go along.  That is one nice trailer - I have one already though.  I did a custom built HF 4x8 fold-up with 1/4" aluminum diamond plate.  I still need to build the side rails to make it more multi-purpose.  At least it keeps yours on the top of the list....

You could probably wing-nut the rail so it is removable and then just have a 3/4" deck and wing-nut it down so it can be switched back and forth.  Just thinking out loud.....

A cannon is something used to shoot projectiles.  Canon is a company that makes printers that require a color called magenta.

Sorry Rhino, couldn't resist.   :D

As far as the trailer goes, I asked the wife if she thought it would be a good idea.  She vetoed it right away and said, "no way, we ride to where we are going."  Gotta love her.

Somewhat warmer just east of C' but almost as snowy. Supposedly 11.2 inches but some melted as it fell. It's all nice and frozen now though.

Yes and no. We're staying here in Illinois but plan on traveling down south a bit. I'm buying a enclosed trailer for Connie and I'll be pulling this down south behind the RV.

I sold the sleds because we haven't been using them enough around here and taking them up north is a pain.

I've received a couple of nibbles from my Craig's list add. This one seems a little strange to me, maybe I'm just paranoid?

What do you guys think?

Received 11/25

Hi,
I'm Laura W***** I just viewed your ad posted. I will be glad to meet you today to take a look at it between 3:30-7:00pm. I work nights at my shift starts at 8pm. I'm off duty on thursday and I can come around then check it out on thursday anytime after 1pm.. I have to pick somebody up from the airport at 9:45am. Could you possibly show it to me then?? Let me know what time i can come to take a look it, i want to be sure if it's still in great condition before i purchase it and i'm ready to pay in cash...You can email me here @  l**********@gmail.com. Let me know. Thanks!

W****** L.

I replied to her via Craig's list relay mail and told her that I wouldn't be available till 11/30, no reply. What's odd about her message is that not once did she mention the trailer or anything to do with motorcycles or to ask if the price was negotiable. Maybe it's just me?

i have sold many things on CL and I always get some sort of reply that sounds very genetic.  I suspect that you will be getting a bunch of junk emails in the near future.

Laura doesn't have my e-mail address as I replied to her via CL relay mail.

Tell her to meet you at the police station parking lot and to bring well used 20 dollar bills.

Fun, yeah fun. I think I'll wait a week or so first.

One thing that I did learn. People on Craig's list have ZERO common courtesy for the most part. There was one exception though...

I have often wondered, other than bowing before your swordness, what exactly is needed to earn win points with you?  ???

Now that you mention it, that sword does look rather menacing.

My golden retriever, on the other hand, does not look menacing.
