The problem is that these 'people' as we call them don't have a clue that they are doing something dangerous/wrong.  I really believe that they are aliens masquerading in people outfits.  They do this to totally make us crazy as they feed off the crazy emotions we have when these situations occur.  Or they could be possessed by bad spirits who feed off the emotions as well.  Either way, it isn't good for us right thinking people.

I've ridden in cages with tailgating drivers...after a while of observing to see if there is some sort of intention I often ask them if they know the ramifications of tailgating.  They often say that it will speed the tailgatee up.  I ask " what happens when they slam on the brakes."
Not only will they cause a collision but they will be solely at fault- no questions asked.
God forbid hitting a bike from behind!
"I never thought of that" is usually the reply.
So it's not that they are inherently stupid they just haven't got enough forethought to see any ramifications for their actions.... sort of like society in general.
Man do I love this bike! Red '09

I went with these.

Now I know that we are talking STRICTLY educational purposes here, but IF one were to use 'those' on their boot, I would think that walking would be difficult.  If you want to get folks off your butt, I have one word - Hyperlights!  When someone gets too close, give them a tickle.  If they come back, tickle it again.  Once, I held the front brake just enough to turn the lights on, and just held it.  Cager figured out what I was getting at.  Then I let off.  It works!

I NEED to get one installed on this bike.  I just haven't!  I understand that there is some magic that has to happen since the C14 has LED brake lights...

That's my very definition of stupidity.
When I'm being tailgated, I wait for a section of road in which it is not possible to overtake and slow down to an irritatingly slow a safe speed. Then I use the gas to create the needed gap. It works 90% of the time. In extreme cases, I just get out of his/her way. I couldn't care less about my ego.
Build bridges, not walls.

Education is important. Riding my bike is importanter.

Why can't we get those things like Batman had?  The tubes that would shoot grease all over the road and have th ebad guy slippign away?

I did order a set of the ti feelers.  I'll take a pic once they get here...without sparks as this would require leaning over.

Blueberries!
A handfull of berries, or chokeberries anything that causes them to take notice, and won't get you arrested for damage or attempted murder.
They sound like BBs.
And you can blame that flock seagulls overhead.  8)

As funny as it sounds, it won't 'fly' here in VA.  They'll arrest your butt for throwing anything at anybody from a vehicle.  In cases of road rage, regardless of the source, it never ends well for anyone.

Yep.  I can't think of a better way to turn a tailgater into the raging maniac that just ran over your ass

When your on a 500 lb motorcycle, you have very little recourse towards a 4000 lb vehicle.
