I enjoyed the C14 every day i owned it...without losing my liscense, but the day came when she was mine no more. Now I have a new sweetheart, she's slower and not as smart butshe is very easy on the eyes...and liscense.

It's a vey fun bike to ride, not similar to the connie in any way shape or form. When your doing 70mph with your nose in the wind it feels like you are going much much faster. I will miss the TPMS without a doubt along with the power of the Kawi, but what this bike does it does.... I like it.

I spent the last 10 years on Harleys, while I don't regret it as they are very different to ride.

As much as I miss Silverdammit, I am having a hard time going back to a street machine of any type.  Whatever bike I own in the future MUST be off road capable.  Hence my desire for an 1190 ADV-R of maybe even the 1290 Super Adventure.  Well over %90 of the roads on the planet are unpaved, I see no reason to limit myself to such a small bit, and all the added dangers that go with traffic of any sort. 
Retirement has many benefits, multiple 7-30 day trips on a motorcycle are but one of them.  To make $$ stretch out camping in remote locations keeps costs down, way down.  Kinda hard to have a buffet at '10,000

Look at the Doran TPMS.  I added it to my Voyager and really like it.  I am assuming you are not doing any touring based on the bike you replaced the Connie with.  Enjoy.

Hey, don't kid yourself with that . You're way more likely to crash off-road than on-road. With my aging bones more brittle than they used to, I don't do that anymore. Good luck, and take the risks seriously, wearing all appropriate off-road gear. Take care.

Would be a whimsical 2nd or 3rd bike for me, hope you enjoy it but I am betting you won't keep it long.
