Less expensive? Really?
At $332.50 that's pretty high in my book - especially when I got my
Busa flashed for $60 shipped. Just saying that is a lot of difference in cost.
I assume he had to spend money on an editor (or whatever) to be able to create the flash
and a lot of time testing but once's it done and a file, I don't see how it would take that much to do the flash.
Now if a group buy could happen to lower the cost............
wow, you really have no clue.
First, you have to know how to tune. If you can't tune, then you are going backwards. I have 35 years experience tuning. Second, there's a monetary investment in equipment. Third, the time it takes to develop, test, and dyno. This isn't just a simple "open the secondaries earlier" flash llike your 60.00 flash likely was. My flash picks up significant horsepower (14) torque, and increases fuel economy. Don't take it from me, read the rider reports.
So here's the deal. My flash is 300.00 with 22.50 for insured shipping. I will charge what I think is fair, and it's considerably lower than the competition not because it's less quality, but because I'd rather flash 3 ECU's for less money than 1 for more money. In other words if the price brings in guys who were fence sitting, I'm in.
So I'm going to charge as I see fit for my product, and YOU charge what you see fit for YOUR flash. Oh, you don't have a flash? Can't tune? No years of experience? What's the problem, it's just a a few keystrokes on the laptop, right?
