Passenger Floorboards for a 2006 C10
« on: June 30, 2014, 08:34:48 AM »
Was just wondering if anyone has replaced the passenger foot pegs with floorboards (fold-up or non fold-up) on their C10 Connie.  I'd like to put them on my bike, preferably a unit that doesn't require any modifications.  Just basically a "take off the current pegs and insert and bolt on the floorboards".  The vendor and make & model of the floorboards would be helpful.

Sounds like you would like someone to come install them for you too?    ::)

Pursue the JC Whitney Motorcycle catalog for floorboards from older Gold Wings and the likes of as these will generally fit with little fab or skill but there is none specifically for the Concours...

Chris Lillie "Snarf" I think it was, sent me a pic way back (I can'r find it) of the GW running board he installed for his wife.  All he had to do was drill out the pivot hole a little larger I think.  Look him up.

Thanks for the all the help!  I'm still reviewing all the various possibilities to see what will work best with as little modification as possible.

I checked JC Whitney for the Item # 06ZX9188Y referenced on the image (linked provided by elvin315) with the chrome floorboards, but it's no longer a good number.  I guess the picture was taken back in 2002. 12 years would be a long time to keep the same Item Number in use.

The nearest item I found on JC Whitney now is: http://www.jcwhitney.com/emgo-passenger-floorboard-kit/p2002568.jcwx?filterid=u0j3  SKU #: JCW-014315.  But I don't think they would work without some kind of adapter.  I thought Küryakyn might have an adapter that would work, but didn't see any.

Thinking about buying some Küryakyn's black floorboards #4357 and using their #8883 (Non-Pivoting Splined H-D Style Male Mount Adapters).  I think this combo would work.  It was mentioned to me on the COG Forum and the pictures didn't look bad at all and I guess chrome floorboards could be utilized instead of the black ones.

I didn't think the number would be good anymore, I meant the picture to illustrate that it had been done. Hope they help.
