We are all thankful that you were not hurt any worse.
I'm curious though, how long had you been using the throttle rocker (another brand is called the 'cramp buster')? 

I'm not sure who(m) you are asking, the crash guy in the video (Harlizzzta) is on YouTube but not on this forum (yet).

I personally do have an extra wide CrampBuster, and it is a great help on the highway. Whenever I come into town I spin it forward until
it is straight down, as I exit the other side of town I spin it more until it's back in a useful position. Before I started doing that, I did have some unintended
throttle activations that caught my attention, but none since. I also don't use it in the twisties. I'm starting to think that, for the connie,
the regular sized one might be safer than the extra wide one. Once I install my Rostra cruise control, the CrampBuster is going in the glove box.
