Title: Pilot GT worn out
Post by: UKFan on July 29, 2014, 12:59:40 PM
Finally.  Approx 17K miles on the front.  Tire was down to the wear bars near the center with huge "chicken strips".  I don't have the nerve I once had.  These old bones won't heal as quickly!

Replaced with a BT 020.  After 80 miles today I can say it handles 2 lane roads better than before.  Don't know if that's the tire or the fact that the Pilot has been worn nearly out for some time.

Anyway......BT 020 on the front coupled with a Shinko 777 on the rear.   Seems okay.

Do not be surprised when the left and right sides of the BT-020 are bald at ~4K, with tread still in the center. I say bald, but there might even be cord showing by 4K...
