So as some of you know I just did up a set of gold wheels that I plan to use with an upcoming set of matte black bodywork I'm doing...  8)

http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=13506.0

The gold wheels are now done and came out quite nice IMO...

I'm thinking about running em with the green bodywork just to see how they look, what do you guys think, should I try it, too blingy?  :-\

The green bodywork has quite a bit of gold pearl in it, so in the right light they kinda match pretty good...  8)

I staged em with the bike just now and gave it the ol squint eye, hmmm...  :-\

Do it.  I think it looks better than the black wheels.  For real :)

How close is the gold in the wheels to the gold on the ohlins forks? Hard to tell in the pictures. If it is a good match, I would think they would look very good. If they are two different types of gold, not so much.

The wheels came out a pretty close match to the inner tubes on the Ohlins forks, a little lighter than the outer fork Ohlins gold, but I also bought some gold EBC rotors for them that are a pretty good match to the outer fork Ohlins gold, so between the Ohlins forks, EBC rotors, and wheels they should all blend together pretty good...  :-\

The side cover on the engine needs to match the wheels IMO.

Even though these gold shoes are for the matte black bodywork I'm doing I just couldn't wait to see what they looked like mounted, so I put em on with the green bodywork today...  ;D

Sorry for the crappy phone pics, kind of a gloomy day here in the PNW, no sun...  :(

I'm undecided if I like them with the green bodywork though, but I think they're gonna look sick with the matte black!!  8)

What do you guys think?  :-\

I think you need a gold exhaust system :)

Hmm, it seems like it should knock my socks ... but it doesn't. Not sure why. I like the black wheels better with the green bodywork. Just 1 dude's opinion of course.

I'm crazy about the powder coated black bits all over (swing arm, heel guard, etc) and then the gold wheels to contrast.  crazy awesome attention to detail  :D
