More parts arrived today, mixing in a little silverdammit, I hope it doesn't slow me down...  ;)

I'm thinking with all that silver you should badge her SR22@ court.com

More body parts arrived today, starting to take the shape of a bike now!  :)

Right side case lid, right mid fairing, right mid fairing with the fins, left mid fairing, and tank!

Unfortunately the tank has a small ding in it... Reached out the the ebay seller, looks like I'll need to return it for refund.  :(
Good thing I've got that extra tank coming, looks like I'm gonna need it.  ;D :chugbeer:

A very special thanks to Cap'n Bob, he sent me his left mid fairing from his old C14 and wouldn't even let me pay him for it!!  :grouphug: :chugbeer:

Question??

So I'm dropping what body parts I already have off to the painter tomorrow so they can start prepping em, I just pulled off my Corbin smuggler to include in the batch for tomorrow and put mama's Corbin seat on in it's place for the next couple weeks.

Should I have that plastic plate on the back of the Corbin backrest painted in the green or just leave it black??

Tough question, I would say no as it will be higher and almost a beacon.  Maybe 2 tone to blend with either set of tupperware?

I vote leave it black. It may look overdone if you paint it green and it would look out of place with the black body pieces installed.

Well it would be two-tone Chet, that center plastic ring would be green and the outer leather part would be black.  :-\

I'm thinking I could just pick up another black plastic ring from Corbin for when the black bodywork is on?  :-\

I was thinking a fade to black from the center of the oval, maybe subdued green, to tie things in.  You could just buy another ring.  It's only money, right??  A last option?  Chrome it :o

+1 Even with the green plastic installed I think that this part would look better black.

+2     I would consider leaving the smuggler black also.

+4 on the Smuggler and the backrest oval ..... I would leave them black.

The smuggler is too expensive (for us mere mortals anyway) to buy another one just for color options. With it being black, it will still look great with the green but if it is green, it may look odd when you go back to the blacked out scheme.

You guys are funnny...  ::) ;D

Painting the smuggler trunk was never up for debate, I was always planning on painting it, it's on the bike 98% of the time.

As for the backrest plastic back plate, I just got off the phone with Corbin, they agreed to sell me just that back plastic piece in the black paint like I already have for only $40, so I went ahead and ordered it up and am gonna drop my current one off today to the painter with the other parts.  8)

That way if I like it green great, if I don't then I'll have another black one. Having choices is good!  :)
