So far so good, I'm already ahead of budget, this weekend between ebay and forum members I've been able to get the below parts (a complete body minus mirrors and right side bag lid) coming to me and I'm only at $1180 so far.  :)

tank
front fender
battery door
small middle piece on rear for tail
upper center fairing
left small wing that mounts to mid fairing
right small wing that mounts to mid fairing
right mid fairing with the vents
right mid fairing flat
left mid fairing with the vents
left mid fairing flat
left tail side
right tail side
left side case lid
right side case lid

I'm still in need of left and right mirrors and left and right side bag lid.

If you have any of these please let me know. No cracks, no deep rash, and mounting tabs in tact only please, I'm ok with scuffs/scratches in the paint as long as they aren't too deep.

My "wanted" thread is here:

Thanks!  :chugbeer:

Ok guys, so what do you think I should do about the badges??  :-\

Should I re-apply new 1st gen C14 Kawi and Connie badges?

Should I just do the Kawi badges?

Should I do the Kawi ZX14R badges? (they are more of a light gun metal color, not the mirrored look of the stock C14 badges)

Should I do the badges in black? Do them in another color?

Should I do the 2nd gen Connie badges? (2nd gen Connie badges are individual letters like the Kawi badges, the 1st gen Connie badges are all connected together)

No badges at all?

I know it is a Yamaha, but I like the old school 2 strokes. If I had the money to do a custom paint job on my Connie I would copy a Kenny Roberts RZ350.

Seriously, don't put any ZX14 badges on it, that screams POSER. I'd go with the 1st gen badges in black, or none at all.

I never watched the movie "Treasure of the sierra madre". But all my life I've heard the famous line "we don't need no stinking badges". But now I find out they never said that line. Instead the line is "I don't have to show you any stinking badges". Learn something new everyday. Thanks Conrad!

I wouldn't put "ZX14R" badges on it goofball...  ::)

I'm talking about the "KAWASAKI" badges from the ZX14R, they look/say the same but are just a different color, more of a lighter gun metal color instead of the mirrored chrome look.  :-\

Hey ZG,
I think you should consider sending the saddlebag lids to Corbin for their slim door mod that makes the saddlebags slimmer.  Then the Green would be for your around town cool look and the black for distance travelling.  I think that mod is really cool, but won't work with my saddlebag guards.

If I were going to spend the bucks for 2 sets of bags that's exactly what I would do. The OEM side cases are way too useful and practical for long range touring to remove but they do give the C14 a fat A$$. And I need them for around town for rain gear and small errands. Corbin had a great solution.

Probably would look better but I just use them too much and need the space, especially this summer taking her to the National...  ;) :)

I heard that you would be pulling her on a trailer to avoid time lost polishing?

I'm hearing a rumor that we may be doing a Lee Parks Total Control Clinic during the rally, I'm thinking a green ZG14RR, er CX14, er, C14 would make for an awesome Concourier cover shot ;D

My paint shop just ordered up the paint, activators, & reducers etc from Color-Rite. $500.  :)

I also bought both R&L side case lids today. All I need now is the mirrors, worse case I'll just order up a set of new black ones and paint mine...

Looks like I should have everything to the painter by mid next week and have everything done and installed around the end of February...

I'm thinking instead of the Concours14 badges on the tail sides finding some place to make me some custom one off's that say ZG Limited Edition, or something to the like...  :-\

You'll be happy to know Chet that pretty much all the body parts I sourced for painting are silverdammit and 09 red.  :yikes:

I hope my Connie doesn't reject em...  :-\
