Poor mans diavel.

maybe it looks better in person

Fuel Capacity: 3.17 gallons.
MPG: TBD
:rotflmao:
Hmmm, that's not a touring bike.
-
Are those Horizon handlebars?
-
:o
Dang, those pegs look to be WAY too far forward.

Might have to get highway pegs and put them BEHIND the std pegs.
-
The specs don't say what the weight is but with only 670 cc's it better be lite.

It probably gets 60-70 mpg

Looks like a reskinned scooter, that thing they made with the automatic that cost $15,000, the DN-01 I think.

Worse yet some a$$ hat is going to one.
-
Ugly? Maybe....but it's still nicer looking than any bike BMW has in their lineup.
-
Well, I guess it true, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
-
Wow,talk about a potato launcher!!! That can makes the C14 unit look slender and elegant.
-
As the resident token "Olde Phart" with weak[er] legs, I think it's kinda neat. Not exactly on my short list though, as Sam only has 170k miles on her.
Forward foot pegs are a negative, so is the apparent 'tiller handle' steering. Other than that (and the horizontally aimed potato launcher) I could see one in the stable. Maybe.

It's a joke or what?? :o
It's a DN-01 restyled but with the same destiny alredy written: fail!
(the DN-01 looked even better... ;) )

Yep. A 670 cc touring bike sounds real exciting to me. :o

Cruising or commuting - yes, touring - not really. But guys, this bike is not intended for us so don't take such offense. It's a simple entry level twin at a reasonable cost, with a little wind protection compared to the naked one. I'll bet there are 18 year olds, or women, who will buy it.
-
I was in the local Honda shop today browsing around and yes they had one of these actually didn't look so bad in person. Mufflers on any of the new bikes look fugly IMHO.
-
They come up with yet another turd, but won't redesign the ST1300. ::)

I have no idea how Honda justifies their $18k+ MSRP on the severely dated ST1300??? :o you'd have to be crazy to pay that.

+1 Renting an ST1300 is what made me want a ST bike in the first place. I'm a Honda fan would have gone Honda if they had an up to date ST for a reasonable price. The VFR certainly doesn't do it. Too expensive and not enough T features. But if they took the ST1300 concept, keep the V4 but update it as well as the rest of the bike to be competitive and I would have been all over it. I think they spent too much time on the VFR DCT technology and came up with an elegant solution without a problem. What a waste.

From the profile shot I didn't get the impression that the fairing was that large/wide.

Somebody get some insect killer!
Whoever has been Honda's designer lately should go the way of the dodo.
-
Does it have automatic transmission? Hope not, but, that may be what attracts most all of its buyers.
-
You can order it with the DCT tranny... if that's what you want... same as the VFR.
-
And the VFR has been a smashing success for Honda. :-X

True statement...my wifes loves the looks of it and wants one. I'm still sorta undecided.

The ST1300 is only $12,000.......+ $6,000 for the saddle bags ;D

I don't have a problem with the way it looks. I have a Vstrom. The way it performs might be an issue though.

Sat on one at the Indy motorcycle show yesterday. I liked it, looks better in person. The bags are pretty small. I'm 6'5", I actually fit on it. Can't say that about too many cruiser type bikes.

yet another great one-liner from Pokey
I remember when they lunched the ST (before the last ice age) and I thought it was sensational. Now I'm always hoping they'd update it to give it a go >:(
-
I loved the Honda, still do, but at the time, 2002, the Concours was $5000 less. I'm afraid of what a redesigned ST will look like considering the models they've come out with the last few years, automatic only, big FUGLY pipes, goofy styling, computer controlled, overly complex. Although, I REALLY like the looks of that trio of 500's they introduced recently.

indeed. I think the design department from Honda is run by Homer Simpson... Remember his creation?
