Does anyone know if the dual piston brake C10 sliders bolt up to the early model tubes? Also is there any difference between the brake master cylinder?
We've been told that it will not work. But, Mercer has done measurement's and thinks it might. NOTE: If you do so, we think you will also have to use the later model emulsion (inner) tubes and topping springs. Unsure which upper spring will work. We think the older style spring.
Note; Will also need later model fender, brake calipers, rotor, and probably axle/wheel.
Bottom line; It would probably be easier to just get a complete later model front fork assembly.
The 2 piston calipers give slightly more feel than the single piston ones.
I fitted 4 piston Nissin calipers to my 89 and they are awesome, but not as good as the Radial 4 piston ones on my C14. To fit 4 piston Nissin/Tokico calipers to the early model you'll need to fabricate a plate to adapt them. I got my adapter plate from a guy called Russell in Australia, but I'm pretty sure he's not active any more.
