SO has tested me on that one too. I told her she might not like the answer. It has created a few heated discussions.

I told my wife before we got married, "Never make me choose between you and the bike. You'll lose." Figured she should know that going in.

If you don't ride, We can't be friends.
My Ol' Lady knows this.

It's really your overall attitude to risk. 'Risk averse' means you drive a car instead of a motorcycle, and snowshoe instead of downhill skiing.
I'm slightly north of 'risk neutral' and get into motorcycling, skiing, bicycling, but not bungee jumping or skydiving. My wife shares some of these attitudes, with bicycling and skiing, but unfortunately not motorcycling. But because she has some of the same risk attitude, there's tolerance for motorcycling.

Can't forget her first streetbike. The ol' Vulcan 800 with crazy loud pipes! 8)

I learned this lesson with the first woman I was engaged to (but didn't marry) and the first one I did unfortunately marry.
Wife #2 rode and was very tolerant of bikes which explains why we lasted nearly 29 years.
Now looking for a new and improved model. Line forms at the right :-*
