TPS --- Help
« on: June 19, 2011, 07:50:18 AM »
Recently purchased a new 09. I haven't owned a street bike in 25 years so trailered home. First ride I noticed TPS for rear tire showing ---, front is working. Tried the over 55 lb. Trick to wake sensor up but no joy on that. What do I do now?

Thanks for reply.

Jeff

If its still under warranty the dealer will replace it.

May just need to be registered to the ECU.  Have the dealer hook up the KDS3 to the bike and see if it has a rear TPS registered to the bike. Worst case if the don't know the serial number of that TPS sensor, they can pull the rear tire, get the number off the sensor, see if it registers, if not replace it.
