Well I did it, trading for the model of bike that I just loved to death when I owned it. Going back to the Vstrom 1000, I am more of the ADV style of motorcycle person. The C14 has been just a fabulous machine, and was all that I had hoped it would be. Less is simply more for me, and I love to explore the bumby rough roads too darn much. It is going to a real good guy, and I know that I will be seeing her again. He is excited to try the sport touring thing "as I was" and you just don't really know what ya like until ya give it a try. I will of course still be hanging around here, love this forum and the good folks that are on here. It is a very low mileage 06 and is nicely equipped for touring, I just have a few "must have" mods to do and then I will be good to go. Happy yet sad at the same time, I get attached to bikes.
Ya gotta to what ya gotta do. Good luck with the new bike Poke!
Yo hope you still post here and keep in touch! The ADV bikes like Rotella T6 flavor too

Best of luck with the new bike Brian. I will say this much, the valves are MUCH, MUCH easier to adjust even with two separate heads to deal with. And fewer valves once you get in there too. A friend of mine has one and it is one of the smoothest riding V-twins I have ever ridden, vibration wise.
Brian
You . I'll get you for this! ........ I'll probably be coming round the beginning of October. Have the beer cool.
Michelob Lager..
A buddy of mine had the big Strom. He seemed to like it a lot. For unknown reasons he sold it for a ST1300 which he wrecked. Then he got an FJR, sold it for a Nomad, sold for a Wee Strom the other day. This all within 2 years.
I'd give a Strom a try before most any other bike. And it just might be my next bike, ya never know. Hope you enjoy your new ride Pokey.
I said.......BEER, not crap like that!!!!!
Nevertheless, that's what I like.....
