Evo Flash - Shipping ECU from/to Canada
« on: March 02, 2017, 05:18:43 PM »
Hello everyone.

So...I've purchased a new left-over 2016 Concours 1400, to replace my 08 that I lost in an accident, and I want to ship my ECU off to Steve in Sunny Florida for his EVO flash.

I live in Canada and I'm not near the border, so I'd like to ship it Canada Post, which I assume goes by US Post once it crosses the border. Have any Canadians on the forum shipped their ECU to Steve from Canada and received it back in Canada? If so I'd appreciate any shipping advice on how you did it. How does it cross the border? What information do I need to provide to get it across and back with the least amount of trouble? I don't mind paying a tariff if there is one, I just want things to go smoothly. Any info much appreciated...

Just FYI...I posted this same question on the other Concours forum.
Can't wait for spring to arrive!
Thanks!

Paul.

So how did you 'lose' your bike.  Had an accident and it disappeared?

Dual posting on two forums eh?  No good can come from that.

The answers can be quite different here as opposed to there.  But that's neither here nor there of course.   Welcome!  I hope you enjoy it here.. ;)   Come in with a sense of humor/humour and not a whole lot of seriousness and you'll do well.

My 08 was written off on an accident...not my fault...I'm OK after surgery...and the new 16 is waiting for spring in the garage!

Thanks!!!

But wait! It IS here OR there isn't it Jim? I suppose it could be here AND there though...

There must be some kind of way outta here. Said the joker to the thief. There's too much confusion. I can't get no relief…
