After living in scorching Fl, and taking the C14 through hell today...oops i meant the scorching hot dusty plains of west Oklahoma and Kansas....   I'm happy to report this bike laughs at the heat.  From sitting at traffic lights to xxx MPH trying to get past long, straight, boring terrain, this bike rocks!

Steve doesn't even touch the computer or his phone for that matter, KiPass knows what he wants to say so it just sends out an auto reply!   

I rode mine in the heat for the first time this weekend on a trip and she was getting pretty hot in stop and go traffic.  I heard the fan for the first time running pretty steady.  I think the gauge was one or two segments from the top.

Guys of course im on vacation I couldn't work and do this. And I wasn't up early, I rode all back roads from Enid (Vance AFB) OK, through Ks, and finally got to Denver at that time.

Road in the heat from about 2:30 in the afternoon and it was a different scorcher than FL.

I put these in my trip thread along with the other in the "rides" sections of the forum. If I said how hot it was you wouldn't beleive me.  Heh, this is all that grows inb that heat and devastion. Glad to be in Denver today!

Welcome to my world!  Colorado will be a blast though.  Makes the desolate stretches in Kansas and Oklahoma worth it.

I agree.  After all the problems reported of this bike roasting riders legs, I've found very little heat at all in 100 plus riding.  This is a great all around bike in fact.  Near perfect.

How often does the fan come for you guys in the heat? Here on Vancouver Island it has only been 68 to 76 degree's Fahrenheit and my fan kicks on at stoplights during city driving. It seems to engage more often than my old C10 used to. I take a look at that gigantic rad and am surprised that it needs a fan at all!!!

My fan comes on very often on hot days but mostly at stop lights or low speeds in traffic, it's a normal operation of the bikes cooling system.

I have an 08 and I noticed the heat on my legs.  My 4 wheeler is worse though.
