Great videos. Thanks for sharing, sir. tomp
Pictures can be deceiving, she has a view battle scars. Awesome bike to ride in the Hill Country.
Old #9 Fredericksburg
Lime Creek Road - Austin
Nice! I've been all over that country.I never get tired of it, although the heat and the chip seal sure do burn up tires quickly.
When we get another nice weekend we should get together and do some spirited hill country riding together. Maybe stop in Fredericksburg and get some schnitzel and a beer.
I think I saw a black going on 17 south, towards San Jose today. Wish I was on mine too.
Wouldn't south be toward Santa Cruz, away from San Jose?
Was probably me on "Black Bear" . 17 South towards Santa Cruz and Rte. 9 and 35 thru the mountains to Half Moon Bay are some of my favorite rides- let me know when you guys are going the next time.
Lived there for 12 years and used to drive my RX7 and Fiat 124 Sport on those roads. Before I had bike. For 4 months in about 1982, I commuted from North SJ to Scotts Valley on 17. Most dangerous commute I ever did. Can't imagine the life expectancy of commuting it on a bike every day.
Fabulous views and never ending twisties, along with some great pubs along the way. I run "Black Bear" in 3rd gear and trail brake the mountain roads. One wrong move and only the buzzards would know your fate.. The quaint little tourist town of Saratoga, Ca. seems to have a never ending assortment of vintage Porsches, Ferraris and (real) Cobras, and even a gas station with 108 octane racing fuel at $10./gal. I never get tired of the NorCal mountain ranges.
Saw a black '09 somewhere around Santa Cruz this afternoon (I'm still trying to learn all the roads here.) We both waved to each other. Nice to see another C14 out today.
