Arrived into DC late this afternoon, peak rush hour. I was in route to meet a fellow COG member. I was going around a traffic circle and my bike quit. No power to anything. The KiPass was working, but nothing would happen when the key was turned on. I sent a message to Matt and he promptly arrived with his truck and we loaded it up. While I was waiting for him to arrive, I checked by battery connections, all was good. We unloaded the bike and he started checking things. After about 20 minutes, he found a plug connection under the left fairing that had loosened up. It must have been something that I had taken apart once and failed to fully clip it closed. It sucks breaking down, but I must say, this was the best place it could have happened. Considering all the places that I have been in the past 12 days. God was watching out for me!
You're going to have to get your crayons out and fill in the map after this trip.
All funning aside ^^^, I arrived home late afternoon yesterday. After 18 days on the road, I put 6385 miles on my bike. The tires that I left home on, with 5200 miles on them, held up great! They now have 11,600 on them. Story and pics to follow...
we always laughed out loud as that was Joe Friday's badge number on Dragnet.....coincidence?http://youtu.be/cqsPNVFKVK0
A 'possum named Veronica and i loaded mine up for a week and a half on the road...hello NC/VA/TN/WV
I plugged a hole from a screw in my rear PR4 last night. Since the tire is close to the wear bars anyway, I ordered new front and rear PR4's from jakewilson.com. I just love the smell of new tires in the morning... smells like riding.
Nothing worse than having your balls go missing.
I installed grab rails on my saddlebags. My passenger said her arms hurt when I ride the twisties aggressively trying to hold on to the C14's rails because they are too far back
