KZ1300 17" Rear Wheel
« on: October 17, 2011, 05:42:06 PM »
Has anyone investigated fitting a rear KZ1300 Rear Wheel on a Connie? It's both 17 inches and shaft drive. Kawasaki's habit of parts bin engineering might mean that the KZ1300's rear wheel hub is the same as the ZG1000's. Compare the parts microfiches and tell me if I'm crazy.

not a likely candidate. tires back then were all narrow bias. I'd expect that rim to be about 3" wide. Steve

Yeah a bud of mine had/has a 1300. We used to joke even back in the 80's about his rear tire. I think he went with a 130 or 140 as the biggest tire he could fit, and could still smoke the tire @ any time. He would do songs with it cruising at the beach.

He LOVED playing with V-maxes.

Now the guy with the Turbo GPz750, when he would sit way up on the tank and smoke his 130. I fell in love.....

I know where there are some KZ1300 wheels and can measure the wheel width in a day or so.
