Sorry guys, been out on the road on a mini vacation.  The sale for July got me the dual vinyl for just over 300 delivered.  I do not have many miles on it yet but it feels supportive yet comfortable.  It was a must for my wife and she is a happy camper again.  Now I have to decide whether to cancel the Russell, that is a lot of money I could use for other things if this does the trick.

Well Alpha... Are you still liking you seat. I was impressed with yours and Seth's responsiveness so I bit the bullet.

This should be at my door later this week.  :chugbeer:

I can't wait to put some miles on it.

That is a very nice looking seat, leather?  I am actually waiting for mine to come back, the passenger area is having a little mod done.  Very nice quality.

Thanks... The Sargent is the only aftermarket seat that I bought that was vinyl... That is one of the reasons that I'm not liking it. The feel of leather is well worth the extra effort to maintain it. I hop I can log a fair number of miles on it this weekend.

Got mine yesterday. Looks awesome. Wish I had it for our 800 mile ride last weekend. Can't wait to take it for a long ride.

Rhino,
Who's makes the back rest and rack? Does the helmet hook have a lock?

PCA makes that rack and backrest, it's available with or without a lockable helmet lock. The newer models seem to have a cool C14 cut into them. Mine didn't but it's not new.

Didn't think it was a PCA, but I guess its the newer version with the C14 cut into it. Looks nice.  I wish the helmet locks were alittle less visible. They look too out of place w/o helmets on them.

I got the back rest and rack from premier cycle accessories ( http://www.pca-one.com/ ). I don't see that exact rack anymore. The hook is just a simple hook I made myself with no lock.

Granted I only put about a hundred miles on it (I just got mine back this afternoon), but I gotta admit that this seat is going to be a winner. It's far more comfortable than the stock seat, Corbin or the Sargent. The foam is just right... Not too soft and hard like the Corbin was. It provides good support so far. And my backside just likes the feel of leather... No... Not like that! It breaths and gives better than Vinyl.

Here's a few shots on the bike. I'm really digging the Bomber leather!

Someone mentioned that all you do is order the seat, give a down payment of 100. and then Seth sends the seat and you send the old seat back in the same box. But, I called Seth and I thought he said to send him the old seat first before he will start production. So I need some clarity on that, along with does the single seat change any ergonomics of handlebars and seat heights? I am thinking of ordering next couple of days if this seat doesn't make it necessary to farkle other things..Thanks for the great forum.

Connie14boy, you are correct. You do have to send your seat in first. I think he may have had some on hand at first. My total downtime was les than a week. Seth wants photos of the seat (side view and top) and a side view with you on it. You then explain what you don't like about the current seat and what you want it to do. If you provide a good description, then you'll get a build w/o an additional call to clarify. I must have done a good job of describing my issues because the seat is so much better than anything else I've tried. And my short ride was performed under what I call worst case conditions. I made sure I had all the gear on that helped create miserable rides. The seat's performance was stellar. What does **** me off is that I didn't do this sooner!

Sent mine out to Seth on Tuesday. It's still in transit, but I'm really looking forward to getting mine back.

Nice.   I sent mine back for an adjustment to the passenger area and Seth made it perfect.   Again was great to work with.

Just got the seat back from Seth Laam and did 350 miles on Sunday. I spent $365. for a custom stitched leather seat and all parts of me are still smiling. Seth has a real talent and his operation is the epitome of a great running small business. I can say that the bike is now perfect except for the bazooka exhaust.
