Help!? Cajun food-

I'll be traveling between Shreveport LA and Meridian/Philadelphia MS.  Anyone know of any cajun food?  I'll be targeting backroad travel of course but don't mind going on i-20 for a stretch, nor going out of my way for decent cajun food.

A small country family run type deal with some real shrimp/crawdad etoufe will be AWESOME!

I know of many places in southern Louisianna but hate to put an extra 12 hours (round trip) seat time over a meal.

Thanks in advance fior any suggestions.

I'm in Roswell, NM chasing aliens. Dallas tomorrow visiting friends.

You'll be in LA/MS and you want to know of a Cajun eatery? be real ;) Your sense of smell should be an asset here.

Yea but when i google i get so many choices it'sd impossible to know whats legit.

Jill is great but requires pampering, she gets 3-5 pounds of air in the mornings and runs like hell all day.  She even played ADV rider off-roading in the desert and did well !

Wish I could help you. I travel for a living and eat out 3 times a day 5 days a week. When I get home, I cook on the grill.

I'd just roll along some back road and stop somewhere that looks "interesting". It's all part of the adventure. :thumbs:

I don't know if you will be traveling through Lafayette, but if you do, you have to eat at Prejeans.

It's the best.. ;)

Check out the parking lot. If there is a good mix of vehicles then it should be a good un. If there are trucks and beaters then the prices are good. If there are caddys and lexus too then prices are high. If there are both luxury cars, family cars and trucks and beaters then its excellent food at a good price.

Sevin's in Farmerville is pretty good.  It's just a bit northwest of Monroe.   They'll have your mudbug fix  ;)

Forgot to add... bread pudding to die for!  :thumbs:

:thumbs: Prejean's duck and andouille sausage gumbo is my fav there. If you like boudin and cracklin check out Best Stop in Opelousas.

I just rode the gulf coast from Beaumont to Pensacola. I found this in some little place in the Biloxi area but cannot remember exactly where. Lots of cayenne pepper!
