That 1500 compared to the 1800 is a whole other game my friend!
At the time they made these Valkyrie's (mine is a 97) they didn't make the 1800. But the Valkyrie 1500 was a whole other game compared to the Gold Wing 1500. 6 carbs vs 2 carbs, solid lifters vs hydraulic and the Valk is significantly lighter.
I'd rather have a Rune
I figured that 50 (or 48 for the GL1800GlideF6B) was a good age to take it easy and just putt around the country. Until then I will continue to ride a bike that keeps my adrenelin pumping. I will definitely take a test ride on of these machines, if given the chance.
Those who bought them thinking they would be instant collectables were disappointed.
