Since we are talking about Iron Butt, who has done the 'Border-to-Border' ride?  If so, any advise on this particular ride?

http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=1441.0

Recent ride from Maine to Washington. Not me... just sharing the link. Tho... It's a coast to coast. Is that the same as the Border to Border? Now I have to go look at the IBA site, dammit.

EDIT::: So they are different, but I still think there are things to be learned from Brian's Coast to Coast.

I agree with all the rules, but I don't like riding in hot weather.

My Rule #6) Don't try it in June, July or August. Wait until Spring or Fall.

The bottom line do it your way.  ;D

Here is a recent B2B report listed below... 2 friends of mine ran a 100CCC, SS5K, and a B2B all in one shot a few years back... I think Charlie dropped off the B2B, Curt doing all of them.  They had some pretty cool stories about their run too.  You can get some of his info from the second link.

Yes sir, I had to do this x-country trip in July. Folks scared me about snow in Rockies and said best chance is July.  H*ll with the rest of the country, I hate straight lines.  It was 108 in west Oklahoma all day. I went across that on all rural roads, crossed KS just as hot, and was loving life.....  went all the way to Denver tonight in that scorcher!
