Noob Final Drive Question

Searched and could not find the answer.

When filling the final drive is it done on the center stand with nothing under the front tire or sitting on the tires upright?

The shop manual is unclear about this.

Thanks

Jeff

IIRC the bike is supposed to be on the center stand.  I use the centerstand method and fill the final drive until I can feel fluid almost getting ready to come out of the hole.  Just make sure you don't spin the wheel to get more fluid in, it will just spit it out onto your rear wheel on your next ride.

Why do I suspect you learned this via personal experience?  ;D

I actually had it happen on my last bike (M109R).  But I have seen several C14's that had it happen to them, and it was posted on the old forum.
