I thought the Snow Bird was the official FL state bird.
There used to be a house, not too far from where my grandmother lives in south NJ, that was painted the same color as those plastic flamingos. With the trim painted a yellow brighter than the beak on the one pictured.
My grandmother had pink flamingos in her yard in Virginia. I remember them distinctly and fondly.
I thought the you were going to show a picture of a giant insect smashed on your Connie's windscreen. I surely think some of the bugs in FL would qualify as birds.
One of our neighbors has them in their front yard and I really get a kick out of them in the winter time with all the dam snow on the ground as I live in MI.....
I've seen some for Halloween that are black with glow-in-the-dark skeletons on them.
I don't know if it is popular anywhere else but here in MI a lot of people have dressed up geese in their front yards..... They even go so far as to change their outfits for the season or Holiday; and god forbid I've seen them wearing favorite sports team colors too.

Where did you find those? My wife is into all things flamingo. Used to be her business logo when she sold real estate.
