Neat (free) iPhone app--Road ID
« on: May 02, 2014, 01:31:14 PM »
I downloaded a new iPhone app, "Road ID" and it looks pretty neat.  You set how long you're likely to be out, add up to five contacts, and it sends them a message ("out for a ride" or whatever you set) and gives them a link to a map showing where you are, real time.  You can activate another function that will send alerts if you are stationary for more than five minutes (i.e. a wreck), and you can also set your lock screen to display emergency contact info, allergies, medication alerts, etc.

thought I'd share!
