The bike song thread got me thinking. I play trumpet but always wanted to play piano. I love ragtime music, there is something about it I can't explain. I know it evolved and was developed in pool halls, bar and bordellos, but theres an innocence to it, a simpler time. Maybe the history, what was going on then, I don't know, its visceral I think for me.

ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. Just something happy about it.
All you need is a Spanky and our Gang to watch with it.

For me it was the Keystone Kops segments that used to run in the 60's on TV. Trolley cars, men in Derby's, women with parasols, Snidely Whiplash tying a helpless maiden to the track while a steam locomotive chugs closer, all in fast motion, Chaplin eating his shoe.

Reminds me I haven't watched any Buster Keaton in a while...

Buster was nothing short of amazing.
