Title: C-14 reverse lowering
Post by: concoursnewb on July 22, 2013, 10:34:49 AM
I just bought an 08 C14 already lowered with both Muzzy links and Hdlbr risers. I am removing and going back to stock. Lowering links reversal is pretty straightforward I think. But I have no clue what the factory top clamp/clip on set up looks like. How much of the tube should be sticking up, if any? I have the stock bolts, etc. any pics? TIA.

If you just have handle bar risers, all you need is the original bolts and just bolt the antlers directly to the triple tree. If you have after market bars such Helibars Horizon ST bars you could probably find someone willing to trade. I already have the Horizon ST bars but would be happy to trade for my original antlers as the Horizon bars are worth a LOT more.

Post a picture of your risers, this way we can somewhat tell who's risers are on your bike.
Or do they look like the ones in the first picture?

On my 08 the tubes stand proud of the top clamp by 2mm.

Thx gPink. I went to about 1mm above and snugged it back in.

I think I'll hang on to the Muzzy risers plates and experiment later. thx again.
