I searched but didn't find any results. Anyone have a source for factory service manual for a 2011?
The Kawi website doesn't even have option to order - Part 99924-1431-03 but N/A is listed on printed manuals.
I suppose I can call the dealer... but was wondering if anyone has found one yet
-
You can order from Ron Ayers: http://www.ronayers.com/Search/N/687 (http://www.ronayers.com/Search/N/687)

Call the dealer or Ron Ayers. It is available, I have one. The part number is 99924-1431-03

Couldn't get to see the SM on the Ayers link.
Did a Google search and found this link: [http://xxxxxx] $35.00? Does that sound right? Too good to be true?
Purchase at your own risk?
He is dealing in illegal copies. Look at his other listings. This is not an individual who bought a manual and is reselling one.
-
I actually prefer a pdf version. Print out the pages you need when you need 'em. No need to dirty up the entire bible.
-
Too late. Mine is already dirtied up.

Don't wash it either, huh?

Nope...

I'm using a '08 service manual i got on the internetz for free for my '10, its worked extremely well for all my needs thus far. I guess if i was going to dwell into my bike deeper i'd ask around for an '10 version or later, the subtle differences have mad eme go there yet heh
All my other bikes have been 2 seconds or less to get free manuals.

Holy carp! I never saw that version before! He usually says,"Good....bad....I'm the one with the gun."

Let's play nice, boys.

Any "official" links for .pdf versions? Happy to pay, just not happy to pay the $155 quoted by my local dealer (Australia) and I want to tear the fairing off to install my christmas presnt to myself.

Unfortunately, there is no legal PDF version. I paid less than half that ($USD) for mine from my dealer. Contact Ron Ayers, I am sure he can even beat that.

Unfortunately, there is no legal PDF version. Kawasaki was probably scared once it was out, it would ruin their book sales (which is probably true). The fact that Kawasaki SHOULD probably just give the owners the book (and in PDF format) doesn't change the fact that they wrote it and can choose how they want to provide it.

And you can download "free" copyrighted music, software, and movies along with those books... it is called "pirating" (illegal copyright infringement). Just saying....
-
Got mine4 on ebay for 40 bucks. it's a real kawasaki manual. I'd look on there.
-
Thanks guys, unfortunatly delivery timeframes from the US blow me out of the water to get a legit manual in time for my Christmas project.
Plus I don't typically take stuffz from the interwebz - just my personal choice.
Will just take it slow and steady with the fairing teardown.

Thanks to everyone for the offers of sending me a .pdf manual, really kind.
I have been sorted by a member with just the relevant pages for fairing removal which, along with the process of ordering a legit copy, I am happy to do under "fair use" principles. Copyright is something I am involved in from time to time with the day job so I probably take it more seriously than I otherwise would ;D

Order this: http://www.angelridevideos.com/concours.html (http://www.angelridevideos.com/concours.html)
It's not the shop manual, but it's very helpful.

As previously posted: Call your local dealer or Ron Ayers. The part number is 99924-1431-03 There is no legal digital version.

Is this what you guys are looking for? It's an online .pdf version of the owner's manual.
http://www.kawasaki-techinfo.net/showOM.php?view_lang=EN&spec=US&book_no=99987-1608&lang_code=EN (http://www.kawasaki-techinfo.net/showOM.php?view_lang=EN&spec=US&book_no=99987-1608&lang_code=EN)
I'm thinking this might be different than the service manual that you guys are looking for but I was hoping the owners manual might help also.
-
That's the owner's manual put out by Kawasaki on their website, Ryan. They're talking about the service manual in this thread which hasn't been put out or sanctioned by Kawasaki for public use.

Ohhh, okay. I sort of had that feeling but I figured I'd share just in case I was wrong. I'll do a bit of digging and see if I can find anything on this service manual you guys are talking about.
-
If you find a link to an unauthorized copy of the service manual (there are some), please don't post it here. As far as I know, Kwak does not have a digital version available for us.

Alrighty. I won't post it if it's unauthorized. I'll email my contact down at Kawasaki Corporate though and see if I can find anything out about this elusive service manual.
-
Ryan, the service manual is availible to anyone who wants to go to a dealer and buy one. What's elusive is the unauthorized digital version that mama kaw does not make availible.

Ahhhhh, gotcha. I think it's kinda lame that they charge for something like that. It should be readily available for anyone who wants it. After all, you already spent $15k+ on the bike itself.

Yep, most of us agree that it seems odd. But it is their choice. It is certainly not unusual, though. I had to buy the factory manuals for my cars, too.... the main difference was that they provided standard PDF files, which was nice (and even on my Infiniti, it was about a third the price of the Concours manual). Kawasaki has no such option, probably because people are quick to illegally "share" them.
-
Still looking for the e-version. How about a PM? would it be ok for someone to PM me a few leads on how to track it down... of course I would never seek to do something against the law... it's purely to know what not to download

LMAO
watch out for the internet police, angelic types, and those who don't run stop signs and never crank a bike without gloves. Wish i could help you with an e-copy for that year (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/bigthumb.gif)

It's basically stealing from the manufacturer, Steve. We don't condone posting links to unauthorized digital copies on the forum. What one does off the forum is none of our business.

So there is no pdf version for the 2010 c14 that is legal? Who needs paper these days, I have a computer in my garage for accessing tutorials and pdf versions so I can work on the bike/car with the service manual at my side.
That sucks!
PS- I just paid 500 bucks for 2 replacement pieces of my fairing which are obviously not worth that, so a fair question is "who's stealing from who?" They are called stealers for a reason.

OEM parts are rarely cheap, unfortunately.

I had an LTD 440 in black and similar trim to the larger model you have when I was a teenager. Bought it new off the showroom floor after working all summer to save the money to buy it, and had a friend ride it home, since I hadn't learned to ride yet.

Beard?
Hell, that was just my freakin mustache... Paul Teuttle can't top that one... I grew that for the COG Generals Ride where I unveiled COGZilla.... it was 7 inches long, and momma hated it.
I have beard pics, but I won't post them.... it would scare folk.
Somewheres there are pics of MOBClause, taken at The BRRRR Ride.... heheheheheh

Has anyone ever used "green-manuals"? They offer downloads off all sorts of service manuals. Motorcycles, ATVs, watercraft, snowmobiles, etc. of various makes and models, including Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Polaris, KTM, etc. Upon browsing their web site, I see no mention one way or another regarding copyrights, other than the fact that their own logo is embedded in their download pics to discourage piracy. I am not endorsing them, nor have I patronized them, and I am intentionally omitting their web address from this post. But if anyone can attest to their bona-fides, one way or another, it would be a service to all.
-
Has anyone ever used "green-manuals"?
Since they're only $9.50, I'd say they are either pirated or not OEM factory service manuals. The site claims 99% of the manuals are "OEM factory shop repair and maintenance manuals". Not sure what that means.
Funny, it says if you are technically challenged, they can send a CD instead of doing a download. What would a person be doing working on they're own bike if they are technically challenged?
-
Since they're only $9.50, I'd say they are either pirated or not OEM factory service manuals.
You are correct.
And if it is a Kawasaki manual and they are not a Kawasaki dealer, it is automatically pirated (illegal) material.
-
You are correct.
And if it is a Kawasaki manual and they are not a Kawasaki dealer, it is automatically pirated (illegal) material.
I don't think I understand...are you saying that ONLY Kawasaki dealers are allowed to sell Kawasaki products? Even if the non-dealer vendor is licensed by Kawasaki?
I have no idea whether these green manual guys are licensed or not, but I'd have to think that it's at least a possibility, no? Or maybe I am not understanding what you are saying.
-
What would a person be doing working on they're own bike if they are technically challenged?
Maybe they have dial-up internet...or maybe thier internet access is otherwise limited or metered. Maybe they only have an ipad...or only a smartphone. Might be worth the $3 bucks extra just to get a CD. I'm not a prospect, but if I was, I might opt for the CD and save myself some trouble.
-
I don't think I understand...are you saying that ONLY Kawasaki dealers are allowed to sell Kawasaki products?
Pretty much, that is correct. Kawasaki doesn't use retailers of any type, just their dealer network.
-

Now I am sure that I don't understand...I admit that I might be a bit slow after that blow to the head a couple of years ago...(75 mph high side).
But anyhow, I have bought OEM parts for years from folks like Bike Bandit, J&P Cycles, Motorcycle Superstore. Never bought a service manual, though. Don't know if they sell them. But they sell lots of other OEM parts. Even have the parts diagrams, part numbers, etc, etc right there on the web site.
Sorry to be obtuse.
