Two Brothers too loud?
« on: September 21, 2011, 09:12:27 AM »
I don't know if this has been posted before, but I didn't like how loud my Two Brothers exhaust canister was, so I looked on their website, and found that they have an insert for these mufflers that quiets them down w/o decreasing the power, so I ordered one.  I'll post after I install it as to it's effectiveness.  Here's the link to the page --

Hope this is useful to those who have Two Brothers slip-on canisters

I made my own using exhaust pipe reducers from a local auto parts store ($5, and about an hour to install).  It makes a big difference.

And yes, this has been discussed before.  A quick search would get you all the info.

I searched and couldn't find it -- maybe on the "old" server forum?

I think that would be somewhat difficult as the old forum went 'poof' and all the cached pages are now 'poof'.

I have the insert - it makes a marked reduction of noise but still lets the warm "snarl" of the ZX14 powerplant out.

That's been my experience.
