Airstream trailers
« on: July 06, 2011, 09:22:23 PM »
Looking at getting an older Airstream trailer. Anybody out there know about them? Specifically an early 70's Sovereign 31', with a rear bedroom. Reading up I see they have problems with rotten floors below windows and at the rear.

I got a buddy who just bought a 1974 model 31' on a permanent foundation with a large enclosed porch added with a cover over the whole thing.  It is located just outside of Cherokee NC on a river, sweeeet.  I guess with the cover over it the trailer didn't show any signs of water damage below the windows, but we didn't really inspect it that closely.

I also have been lurking on www.airforums.com which is the biggest (I think) Airstream forum.
