Cheap brake rotors
« on: July 07, 2012, 06:13:41 PM »
Hello,

My brakes have recently started to pulsate, and I can see that the rotors are warped when I spin the wheel while in the air. I checked out rotors and I can't believe how much they cost. Why would new brake rotors equal half the cost of the bike (or at least what my bike is worth with the age and miles)? Anyways, does anyone know of a place for cheap brake rotors? I was thinking about ordering some used ones from ebay, but then I noticed some cheaper ones from China or Hong Kong. Does anyone have any experience with these types of rotors?

Thanks,
Dan

Hey Mettler,

Thanks for the reply and the link. I will have to order some of these rotors.

Yep, tomorrow I should be a bike church. Are you going as well?

When I made the mistake of hosting a ride on roads I'd never seen?

Yeah Tony got it right. That was at least 10 yrs ago and he still remembers. Not bad for an old guy. Riders start showing up about 8.30 am 'til about 11 am. Sure beats the hell out of golf church. ;)

Russell,
Thanks for the link. I tried searching for info on the disks, but couldn't find anything.

Oh yessss...... now I remember..... ;D

Getting back on topic, I was also looking at those rotors & prolly would've popped for a set if I still had the C10.
