Sorry, I am a comic book nerd... always have been, since I bought Fantastic Four #1, and The Amazing Spiderman, #1.... wish I had not traded them for others when I was a kid...
but I have a bunch that I do cherish, that while not worth the same $$$$$ are worthy of keeping 'hid'. (just looked quickly, Spiderman # 23 thru #71, in a box...)
and now, I've been waiting for this movie for months... to finish the squeal to Infinity War...

can't wait till it hits NetFlix...
would LOVE to see this one on an IMax...
watching Infinity war again tonight, and all the preceding films.. to bring the whole batch up to date....
stay young in your mind, comic books were good... they release the soul to fantasize, and that is good also.
check the prices on the 3 issues I'm holding in the last photo....

I always enjoyed kicking back with the The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers or Harold Hedd or if the mood turned dark a bit of Slow Death.

A group I used to work with is going to Endgame as a 'team building exercise' this coming week. Even though I'm retired, I'll be going, there's nothing wrong with trying to retain youthful frivolity. Beer will probably be involved afterward.
-
Went and watched it last Wednesday with my 12 yr old Daughter. I thought it was a very good movie.
Lots of action, and lots of laughs. When it was over, I was surprised that 3 hours had passed, it kept you interested the whole time.
-
Went with my wife and some friends last Tuesday to see this flick. Tuesday 3:00p matinee, we should be able to get in no problem, right? Wrong! Sold out! The entire week was sold out! WTF? Why aren't these people at work? >:(
Got home and online. I bought tickets for next weeks show instead.

Welfare rats and retirees?

Welfare rats and retirees?
what was Conrad doing there at 3 p.m.????
:rotflmao: :rotflmao:
probably thee biggest flick popularity since Gone with the Wind, and Kon-Tiki....
all the tickets in the Cleveland area are pre-sold, have been since the night before the doors opened on it, and it's like a week long wait now...
it'll be on NetFlix very soon... I think it was only 2 or 3 months when Infinity War hit Netflix. which was surprising, and nice... ( I just watched that one again, for the 5th time...) I get more and more of the story line leading up to the End Game, everytime I watch the consecutive releases back to back...

"Welfare rats and retirees?"
One of the above applies to me, can you guess which? ;)

No Social Security for me, at least not till I'm old enough.

don't worry, I'm trying to use up as much of that slush fund as possible.. filed the night I met the age limit to begin...
If there is any left over between the time.. before you get on the wagon and try to recoup the $million that you paid in(well, I know I did pay in that much...), best of luck... :chugbeer: bring on the dancing girls...
-
Went and saw it on Sunday. Will admit to crying at one point. Good movie.
-
That tears (pun intended) it. I'm not watching it. If I can't see it, it doesn't happen.

Feel free, I'm not relying on SS for my retirement.
We got to see Endgame yesterday. Great flick! Not as good as Infinity War but still damn good. I loved the time travel twist, no crying though...

****spoilers ahead****
Who can tell me why Cap was able to pick up Thor's hammer and also to wield it's awesome powers? And why did Thor say, "I knew it" when Cap saved Thor's ass?

Because the only people able to lift Thor's Hammer are those "that are worthy". Roger's heart is pure enough, that he is worthy to wield the hammer. Back in Age of Ultron they were all having a party and seeing who could lift it. Capt budged it a little and Thor looked a little concerned. 'They' say that Capt didn't completely lift it on purpose, so that Thor's feelings wouldn't be hurt. That's why Thor said "I knew it" when Rogers finally lifted the hammer.

yep, he "could have" lifted it in Ultron.. just didn't do it to disgrace and belittle Thor... because he was kind at heart, and knew it would not be right.
Vision could lift it, only because he was pure of heart, and not a "living thing", he was an android...
no spoilers... dammit... :battle: :battle: :battle:
when Daddy Oden banished him to earth, Thor couldn't lift the hammer even.. going back thru time...
comic geek I am... :P :P :P
oh, by the way... in the actual comics, Cap, first lifted the hammer back 31 years ago.... just saying... and a few times since that point. :salute: :salute:
I'm still getting my mind around how the hammer "comes back" after it was destroyed by his sister originally, then replaced with another one, and that one got destroyed also... prior to the "finger snap"...
tooooooo muchhhhh brain overload.... :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:
saying I have not seen the film yet, I'm curious of what cameo appearance Stan Lee had in this last film, I see he did complete his footage before he died last fall... R.I.P. Stan... you will be missed... Nuff Said...

sooooo.....
I did go back and watch Ragnarok last night....
now I'm still befuddled.. and in a conundrum....
but.... I realized just how "Funny" that movie was... man, so many comedic slices, and "rim-shots" of "ba-dump-bump...tschhhh" humor in it.
Oh, and I did look and find out about Stan's last shots.. (well, until the Spiderman movie hits.. not sure which was filmed first)...
I'll wait to see the "clip", as it sounds perfectly relevant to the old man... Excelsior...

Great movie. There are tons of Breakdowns on You Tube if you're so inclined.
Can't believe it was 3 hours long, just flew by.
