double risers?

I know, sounds kind of foolish.. but after being diagnosed w/ a herniated disc in my neck coupled with a torn rotator cuff, I'm needing to get alot more upright.  I have Murph's risers on there already.. any ideas?

I have issues with several body parts that I had to solve with some changes to the ergos on the C14.

I tried several risers and read the forum, but eventurally ..... I had some 1" x 4" aluminum blocks made to fit over MCLs risers (along with Phil's wedges).  This moved the bars up about 2.75" and back maybe another 2 or so inches.  Phil's wedges added some kant to the thing as well.

I did a mock up with wood to see if it would work, then had a machinist do the work.  I'm very happy with the set up.  All stock lines are tight, but not stretched out at full lock.  I sit pretty much up right, now.  Not as much as the Wing, but close.  Before, I couldn't ride more than an hour without pain in my neck, shoulders, back and elbows.  This is all gone now.  I can now ride all day.  Of course there are other farkles that have helped as well .... Grip Puppies, the riser group, Cee Bailey's domed screen, C14 back rest and mods to the saddle.

We're all differnt and require different set ups to make us comfortable.  I have friends who can ride a ZX14 all day in stock form.  I can only do that for 50 miles.

Geez! Do you lean back when you ride? They look good though.  I put 2" blocks on and that brought me up where my neck doesn't hurt so much. Of coarse, I'm only 5-9

So, the 6 degree increments are set by indexed interlocking teeth (60?) milled into the Kawi' original risers and your extensions?

Just as an aside, the world knows that device as a Hirth coupling. Most people know it as "one of them round thingys with the fine teeth that rotates but only so far and until the bolt is tightened'.

For the Bar Extender in his pictures, you can ask him to have 2", 3" or 4" version.  And pls remember to spread locktite glue on all the screws.

For me, at 5'8, i have all : Bar Riser, Phils' Wedges and Bar Extender and those are really helpful.

You can check it with Phil directly.  The Wedges took him quiet awhile to make.  I had to extend both Clutch & Brake Lines, Phil also help me on getting this from Galfer, pls be noted that Connie '10 onward is different than '09.

I'm about 5' 8"
I broke my left elbow about 24 years ago and have not been able to straighten the arm out since. This causes me to lean further foward and use my arm muscles instead of the bone structure to support my weight.

With these I can sit more upright and take the weight off my arms, for a much more comfortable ride.

I have a feeling that the bar extender is sort of like the wedges in that it is a time consuming process and Phil is sort of not so keen on making
very many except maybe for a few close friends (quite understandable, as I would rather ride than machine fabricate myself) ). Am I right Phil?

I think I could make the extenders myself if I didn't have to make the Hirth coupling (thanks B.D.F.) is there a source or did you machine those yourself?

The rounded groove with the color matching paint is a nice touch.
