I'm enjoying a North Coast Brewing Co. Old stock ale. Very tasty brew weighing in at 11.9%! yum.

Shiner +1, good drinking beer.

OK, a warning. I got sucked in by marketing. In the store I saw a 12 of Dundee. It was an assortment pack, had pilsner, IPA, bock and something else. Sounded good, variety, and had a great looking case and labels. Chilled them up, cracked them open......ughhhh. Dreck, pure nasty in a bottle. Stay away. I tried one of each and don't know what the heck to do with the other 8.

Hum.......i think most of the Dundee stuff is pretty good.  But had a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA with a calzone for dinner.......hop heaven!

Fat Tire but only one. B-day tomorrow and then a beer-b-que on Sunday with about 40 friends. It's possible I will get enough beer this weekend. Maybe.

My experience is similar with other packaged variety packs. A few good ones and a bunch of stuff they vacuumed up off the brewery floor.

Our Kroger has a neat deal. Lots of singles and empty six pack cartons. Mix and match what you want. Unfortunately, their price point is lower than a six pack of some of the brands, such as Tsing Tao, a very good Chinese beer. It's fairly light with a hint ginger or something.  So people are "mix and matching" off the single shelf to get a better price than the Tsing Tao!

Mildly crazy with hints of total lunacy. This is the Hash House Harriers running group that I've been a part of about forever. Google it, but summarized, we follow a trail from beer stop to beer stop and then have a party afterwards. We refer to ourselves as "A drinking club with a running problem."
