lt would take more than a set of carbs to get it to start.
I will be surprised if you find anyone that has done that!
Has anyone out there converted a C14 engine to carb? I have a "spare" engine from my wrecked bike that we're talking about putting in a "shop golf cart" for when we're at the track.
Productive weekend. Brought the engine over from my buddy's house who used to build them for a living, to my other friend who's shop is our base of operations. First, we needed to move the truck bed, so we set it back where it goes. First time sitting on all four wheels since we cut up the frame to shorten it. Sits about 8 inches lower. Going to look SWEET when we get the bed painted.Started at 9:30 in the morning with this:And a 2:15 in the afternoon, we had this. Click to go to Flickr for the video.
I heartily approve. I want to get a hitch for my C14. It's on the short list of future fab projects.
Friday evening, I was messaged by a former Connie owner that lives about 2 hours away from me, that wanted to dispose of a few spare C10 parts he had kicking around his garage.Knowing I had Monday off, and there was a PGR mission in the same area of the concours parts, I hooked up my little camp trailer to the back of the bike, and got everything done Monday.Did you know that an 86 concours with a trailer, is still able to keep up with 80-90mph traffic on I-80?
I need the 7th gear mod help
In addition to the extra load of a motorcycle, we have a small trailer to take enough comfort for long stays. At our ages, we must not deprive ourselves of it
I actually want to add a C10 to the stable. I think the wife would like it for long distances. She's riding a GSX1250FA at the moment and loves it. Just not super great for long hauls. I REALLY need to add a hitch to my C14 so we can do more motorcycle camping. I loved the trip we did for our honeymoon, but stacking all the stuff on the bike kinda sucked.
