Title: MondoMotos MM10 bullet lights
Post by: ljcorby on October 12, 2012, 12:31:42 PM
Ok, I know a number of you have these and have either installed them on the reflector mount or the fender mount.  I have a kit on the way and should have them today or tomorrow.  Which is the preferrable mount for those that have them or a similar light?

I used the reflector mount but if you want to keep the reflectors the fender is a great option.  Also you can mount them on the MC bars if you have them.

Don't have the MC bars, but was just wondering if the light they generate is affected in any way being a bit further back in the reflector spot.

Look at my initial photos in the first post I made, they are a good representation.   That is also my bike in your original post if you click on the link you posted.   That shows them on the reflector mounts.

Why do you think I cut the head off?  Nobody would want them if they saw that.  lol

Anyone have an electronic copy of the installation instructions for these MM10 lights?  I will be getting mine in a day or so and want to plan the install.  Thx.

Thanks.  Just received the MM10 kit yesterday and will more than likely be installing them tomorrow, Wednesday, 10/17.  Will let you all know how it goes.   ;D

For the MM10 light kit, where did you guys mount your switch that came with the kit?

Ok all, got my MM10 light kit installed today on the reflector brackets.  Nice spot.  I also fabricated a switch mount myself out of a piece of 1" aluminum from Lowes, found spacers, and M6 x 1.0 - 40mm hex head black bolts.  Mounted the switch on the right handlebar side (pics to come).  The bolts were a bit too long so I screwed each bolt all the way into an M6 die, cut about an 1/8" off, and then backed the bolt out of the tap to clean up the threads.  Worked like a charm.

Can those that have these lights let me know how you went about aiming them?  What was the procedure you used?  Thanks for the input.  Cleaning up now but will take some pics and post them shortly.  Thanks in advance.

Maybe a dumb question, but why not just install them so they are always on when the bike is running as the headlights are?

That's how I installed them. I had the switch off in the last pic
