C14 Light Modification
« on: December 11, 2020, 10:02:02 AM »
I was given a 2009 ZG1400 by my generous brother who had more motorcycles than he had time to ride them.  Call it an early birthday present.  Anyway, after replacing the tires, I decided to upgrade the lights.  I documented what I did in the attached PDF. https://www.mopower2u.com/post/kawasaki-concours-14-turn-signal-conversion
2009 ABS, Shodabeen Mountain Runner ECU, Chopped Muffler, All LED, Front & Rear Marker Lights, Brake Light Strobe, 430Hz & 510Hz Horns, Koso Heated Grips, RAM X-Grip, Halo Cam M1 DVR system.  A trained, not tamed tiger.

Nice! And glad to see another WA rider on a C14. Might try if I ever have the time or $$...

Anyways, your setup looks similar to another fellow Gixer from the other forum who has made the lights into running lights too.

A very nice and generous brother indeed! It's one thing to have N + 1 motorcycles, but he definitely lost out on the C14 power & agility unless he has a newer generation.

Funny I was wondering where you were located too until I clicked your profile/name! Many of us from the other forum in the PacNW area get together on rides so hopefully you can join us! And no $ required although that forum has changed so don't be afraid to jump in...

We love to roll thru the Vancouver/Portland area and always happy to pick up any C14 rider or any non-denominational rider for that matter when we're headed to Astoria/coast or John Day/Bend area. :)

Great. Let me know. I'm even open to riding in the winter.  I don't mind the cold  as long as the road is dry.
