Seat covers

Anybody know where we can get reasonably priced seat covers? I know that Sargents used to have seat covers for the ZG1000, as late as a couple of years ago, but it appears that they no longer have them.

I got mine from them a few years ago (5?).  I would definitely call them.  They make things as they are orderd pretty much, so they should still be available.  They are a very nice product as seat covers go.

I will contact them but I am not holding out hope. I can't believe nobody makes reasonably priced seat covers.

I emailed them this morning to ask them.  This is what I got in response to the early model C10 (86 thru about '94?) seat after a few emails:

My apologies, the information I relayed earlier was incorrect. We do offer a Ready-Fit cover for that model for $59.95 + $9.95 S&H. The Part # is RF#269.

I would assume the late model C10 cover is available too but this would not be the correct part number.  They also mention you can just send them the seat and they can do it for you:

Yes sir. That would be located under our Custom Seat Services Division. The base price to re-cover your existing seat (you send in seat) is $99.95 (one-piece plastic base pan). If you have a staple gun (and optional heat gun) it is pretty easy to do a professional job yourself with their cover.

I would highly recommend calling when it is time to order.  There are different materials, and textures (and colors) to choose from and they can assist you.  I my brief experience they were great to work with.  Pretty prompt with the emaills too.

I might be in the market myself is why I was so concerned.  Mine is showing a little wear on the front edge at the tank from the jacket liner electric connection.  My Corbin is good though.  I use the vinyl seat in bad weather (most of the winter).

I bought one from Sargeants about 4 months ago and I paid $59 as I remember.  Sent it and my seat
with seam split cover to Spencer.  He re-did the seat and installed the cover for just under $80.
Spencer did an excellent job .

Lots of different seat covers available on Fleabay from $40 up.
I fitted one on Sanji before I bought the Russell.
You will need a good quality electric or air powered staple gun.
Trust me, the manual guns just don't cut the mustard.
Oh, and take your time and do it right. If yer rushed it will hurt yer butt!
I ended up with a crease in the liner and after 4000 miles it finally irritated me enough to redo it and do it right!

I believe Sargent will sell you the foam they use.  It's pretty good stuff.

I bought one off of Ebay over a week ago for $45, put in on Thursday ...I ended up using my friends heavy duty manual stapler which worked out fine   . It came with extra padding built in and fitted perfectly over the old foam .\, it passed the 250 mile ride test  today .

Got mine from Sargent a few weeks back, went to the fabric store and bought some 1/2 inch foam. Didn't have a strong enough stapiler so I paid and upholsterer to put it on. He did a nice job and it was only $30
