I'm moving about 1400kms so I rented a trailer to move the connie and some tools. I strapped the bike down to the two front corners of the trailer, and the rear corners of the trailer, 4 straps in all, cinched it all down, compressed the suspension and all. First stop about an hour into the trip and I stopped to check on the bike, when I opened the trailer, there it was on it's left side, no damge, no problem. so I lifted it back up, and restrapped it, changed the technique a bit, thinking I had missed an angle, well, let's just cut to the chase here, two more stops, and two more bike pickups, i now have a broken right footpeg, and a cracked right mirror glass. Not to mention scuffs, scratches and gas on the fairing and paint. Question here is does anyone know if just the mirror glass/plastic itself is available? I don't feel like buying a whole assy. I'll be moving again in a couple of years, and if i haven't figured out this damned strapping business by then.....
