That's true and you won't see my ass out there riding either till the roads around here turn black again, or at least gray. They use SO DAMNED much salt around here that the roads are almost completely white with it. I can literally taste the salt in the air from all the salt dust that gets kicked up as folks drive on it.

Appears Aerosmith has one more tour left in them, and then Tyler is heading to a solo career in Country Music.  Wonder if he will develop the typical country TWANG when he sings?
Suppose to get into the mid 60's today, so may get a ride in this afternoon.  Will still use the grip warmers though.

Yep, 60 today, back into 40s for the weekend.  We have about 6 weeks of 'Winter' in Nashville.  I expect mid-Jan to mid-Feb to be non- riding most years but we've had a mild one so far.

Bike sat for almost a month but I have been able to ride three times this week.  Nothing special just back and forth to work, but so nice.  In the upper 60's and low 70's here this week.

I put 420 miles on mine yesterday. It started out as a cool 55* foggy morning, but cleared up about 90 mins later. Was a great backroads ride up to Nobelton FL for a RTE at River Ratz Cafe. Then blasted home on the Turnpike, with the cruise set far higher than I should have.

That's why I bought the Road Star S.  No cruise, and the design of this cruiser lends itself to slow down and enjoy the view.  Harder to do that on the C14, possible, but harder... When I ride with a certain friend, I have to take the 14, or he will be in the next county waiting for me, every time...  tomp  dd50

On Monday I rolled the bike out of the garage to ride it to work and then saw the puddle where the bike was (final drive) and rolled it back into the garage, de-geared and got in the car for the drive in. :-(

I think I need to replace the crush washer as I did an oil and final drive fluid change and have not really ridden it since (maybe 20 miles). Will remedy the leak on Friday, but it's supposed to start raining again this afternoon and rain every day for the next week.

Still thinking about adding hiway pegs to my bathtub bars. Be nice to have a change of position once in a while.

Pulled the tank and did the filter thing. It was dirty but I think I could have went longer. Easy job though and with 40000 and winter and all why not.

Track day ahead?

Rode mine two days ago, but it has been crappy weather since then.  Hopefully a bit more seat time before going back to selling those appliances and toilets on Thursday.  tp
