Paypal sent, despite reservations about the irreversible modifications needed on the RHS and the absence of the vibration damping ISO-insert found on the stock footrests. Also, I couldn't tell if the Murph's version accepts the scraping pegs from the stock footrest.

I bought / installed a set a few weeks ago and let me tell you the modification you have to do is very minimal and even if you go back, you'll still have enough thread left to properly do so.  As for the absence of vibration damping inserts, I just got done riding around Lake Superior (1300 miles) and didn't notice any issues with my feet - in fact I loved the wider pegs.  They are also tapped for your stock scraping pegs, but I left them off.  IMHO you got a great deal and you'll enjoy them.

Mano is right,, you will NOT need the "pavement" finders, if you install them, (which you can), you will loose quite a bit of cornering clearance...

Cool. That's good information. Any opinions whether the Kawasaki recall fix needs to be done before the Murph's mod?

I have not had the recall done yet on my rear brake, so I can't comment on whether or not it should be done first or if it matters.

I put my Murph's on after the first recall, then when the second recall was announced, took the bike in, and they had no problem. however, had to readjust the brake height when I got the bike back, as they put it back to stock.

not a big deal

I'd have the recall done before putting them on. No need to dremel the rod with the new recall pieces.

Thanks, all. Am planning to have the recall work done during this week and install the pegs later. Is there any way to speed tarnish the pegs? They are blindingly shiny. 8)

They aren't going to tarnish.  Mine are a few yrs old and still look new.
