Jet-Hot ceramic coating?
« on: April 10, 2014, 07:37:34 PM »

Hi gang,
So I just scored another complete full Muzzys dual carbon fiber exhaust that arrived yesterday, I'm thinking about sending it off to Jet-Hot Coating to have it completely blacked out...  :-\

What do you folks think?  :-\

Has anyone ever used these guys before?  ???

Jay,
Several of the guys over on XS11 .com have used them.
It helped restore their 40+ yr old exhausts.

Good process.
Cost was a bit high, but. Ya gotta also bear in mind all of us that rode 11's were kinda on the cheap side... Lol

Now that I sold my 11's and went with a new C14, most of them think I either won the lottery, or lost my mind...

(For the record, neither of those statements are true, btw.)

I had the header pipe ceramic coated last winter (2012-2013), had it done in silver, inside and out and then the outside polished. (rest of the system is a Delkevic)It was the stock header that I cut open and pulled the cat out of first. My local powder coated charged me all of $60. A year later and it still looks great, and my washing routine is called riding in the rain. Then a light power wash before it starts to sit for the winter. It still looks great, also keeps the heat down. I think Jet Hot is a brand name that you pay extra for.
