How do you reset the clock?

Battery on 2006 Connie died and trying to reset the clock has not worked any suggestions?

I believe the engine has to be running.

really, I have been trying for  a week, gave up and was gonna dis connect and reconnect rt at 12... I learned something new again.. wow.. :)

Don't have to run the engine, just turn the ignition on but don't press the starter, then adjust clock.

Yep.  Keeps people from messing with your clock when your bike is parked.  (I have no idea why anyone would do such a thing, though, as it isn't common for bikes to even have clocks.)
